Did you know that in many cultures blue is a protective color? Blue doors are said to protect a home and blue ceilings ward off ghosts and evil spirits. According to my color guru, Leatrice Eiseman, blue is also the color associated with many religions and a connection to the heavens. It is also the color symbolic of mercy and it is believed that the Ten Commandments were carved on sapphire tablets. So it wasn't a big surprise to see a lot of blue in Jerusalem. Here I share a few of my favorite heavenly blues from our recent trip to this holy city.
